Whose birthday is it? The plan changes with the age.
We host three kinds of birthday celebration in Dubai, and they do not look alike. A ten-year-old’s party is about the cake moment and the parents’ view of the screen. A group of sixteen-year-olds wants the leaderboard. A thirty-fifth birthday wants a private room, a proper coffee and something to do together before dinner. The arena is the same. The timing, the missions and the lounge set-up are not.
Ages 8 to 12
Kids’ birthday
Diamond Skull, the treasure hunt, is open from age 8; the zombie and rooftop worlds from 10. Parents watch every mission live on the lounge screens, the pizzas come out between rounds and the cake table is ready when the scores are up. Squads of five rotate, so a party of fifteen keeps everyone busy for two hours.
Ages 13 to 17
Teen birthday
Teenagers want to beat each other, so we run Urban Assault, the player-versus-player rooftop battle, with live scoring, and finish with a co-op zombie mission so the whole group plays together at least once. Phones stay in the lounge. Parents can drop off and come back for the cake, or stay for the coffee.
Adults
Adult birthday
Doors closed to your group, a 21:00 start on a Friday if you like, four rounds with pizza in between and the venue to yourselves until the scores are on the screen. Most adult groups treat us as the first stop of the evening and go on to dinner afterwards. The bar is alcohol-free.
Mixed ages, a family birthday with grandparents and a seven-year-old, or a group that is half players and half spectators: message us on WhatsApp with the ages and the number, and we suggest the split. Anyone who does not want a headset stays in the lounge and still eats.
Why a VR arena
Where to celebrate a birthday in Dubai, honestly compared.
Dubai has no shortage of birthday venues. Before you book us, here is how a private VR arena compares with the usual options, from what our guests tell us on the day.
Restaurant or brunch
Right for a dinner with speeches. Wrong when ten people split into three conversations and the birthday person sits in the middle. Many groups do both: an hour with us, then the table.
Play centre or trampoline park
Great under age 8. From 9 or 10 the kids start asking for something with a story and a score, and the shared hall means your party runs next to three others.
VR park in a mall
Dozens of rides, tickets per ride, queues on weekends. Fine for a family afternoon. For a party you want one room, one host and one plan, which is a different product. We compared the two here.
Private free-roam arena
Your group only, players on foot with full-body tracking and 4D effects, spectators watching the live feed, cake and pizza in the same room. The limit is five players per round, so bigger parties rotate.

Hour by hour
A birthday party for 15 guests, the way it actually runs.
This is the Squad 15 package, two hours. Smaller groups of 2 to 5 skip the rotation and play one mission, then use the lounge; bigger packages add rounds.
1
16:00. Arrival and the lounge
Guests come in, coats and phones go on the sofas, drinks are poured. The Game Master splits the group into three squads of five and explains the first world in a few minutes. No VR experience needed.
2
16:15 to 17:30. Squads rotate
Squad one gears up and enters the arena; the other ten watch them on the live screen and shout advice. Twenty-five minutes later they swap. Pizza and drinks are served between rounds so nobody eats alone while the others play.
3
17:35. Cake and the scores
Scores go up on the screen, the cake comes out of the fridge where we kept it, candles, photos in front of the arena. Guests can stay on the PlayStation until the two hours are up.

Practical
Before you book a birthday at VR Point.
Where and when
Goshi Warehouse City, 19D Street, Al Quoz Industrial Area 3, about fifteen minutes from Downtown and Marina. Open 10:00 to midnight Sunday to Thursday, until 02:00 on Friday and Saturday. Weekday afternoons are the easiest to get.
Parking and drop-off
Paid guarded parking inside the complex and free street parking outside. One free spot at our door can be reserved on WhatsApp for the birthday car with the cake.
What to wear and bring
Trainers and clothes you can move in; players walk, turn and crouch. Bring the cake, candles and decorations. Pizzas and drinks are ours. Glasses fit under the headset.
Booking and changes
No prepayment. Groups of 2 to 5 book online in a minute; packages are confirmed on WhatsApp with the date, the number and the ages. Moving a date is one message. Friday and Saturday evenings go first, so book those a week ahead.
Questions
Birthday party questions we answer every week.
How much does a birthday party cost at VR Point Dubai?
Groups of 2 to 5 pay 160 AED per player for a standard session, or 800 AED for the whole arena. Parties of 10 to 30 guests take a Squad package: 2,000 AED for up to 10 guests and 1.5 hours, up to 6,000 AED for 30 guests and 4 hours, with pizzas and a drink per guest included. Nothing is paid in advance.
What is the minimum age for a VR birthday?
Eight for Diamond Skull, the family treasure adventure, and ten for the other worlds. Younger siblings are welcome in the lounge with the parents; the pizza count covers them too.
Can 15 or 20 guests play at the same time?
No. The arena takes five players per round, which is what keeps it private and safe. Bigger groups rotate in squads of five; everyone else watches the live feed in the lounge, which is part of the fun. Fifteen guests means three rounds and about two hours.
Can we bring our own cake and decorations?
Yes. We keep the cake in the fridge and bring it out when the scores are on the screen. Balloons and decorations are welcome; arrive fifteen minutes early to set up the party table.
Is it safe, and will anyone feel sick?
A Game Master fits the gear, explains the world and stays in contact during the mission. Because you walk for real inside the arena, the movement your body feels matches what you see, which is why motion sickness is rare here compared with seated VR.
Do parents have to stay?
For children’s parties at least one adult stays with the group. Parents usually enjoy it: the lounge has the live feed, coffee from the barista and a PlayStation corner. For teenagers, a drop-off with a return for the cake works fine.
Is there alcohol for adult birthdays?
No. The bar is alcohol-free: specialty coffee, cold drinks and mocktails. Most adult groups play with us first and go on to dinner or a bar afterwards.
How far ahead should I book?
Two to five players can usually book the same day. For a Squad package a week is comfortable, and Friday and Saturday evenings go first. If the date moves, one WhatsApp message is enough, nothing is prepaid.
Tell us the age, the date and how many are coming.
We come back with a slot and a package. No prepayment, cake welcome, the arena closed to your group.
