Adult birthday party in Dubai, in a private VR arena

A birthday for grown-ups that is not another dinner. Your group gets a 100 m² free-roam VR arena and a 150 m² lounge to itself: five people in the game at a time, the rest watching them on the big screen with coffee, pizza and a PlayStation. From 160 AED per player for small groups, all-in packages from 2,000 AED for 10 to 30 guests, no prepayment. Rated 4.9 by 400+ guests on Google.

The honest part

Most adult birthdays in Dubai end up as a table.

A good restaurant, a brunch, a rooftop. Nothing wrong with any of them, and many of the groups who come to us go for dinner afterwards anyway. The problem with a table is that ten people split into three conversations and the birthday person spends the night being polite. What a group of adults actually remembers is a shared story: the moment someone froze on a rooftop ledge that was not there, or the quiet colleague who turned out to be the best shot in the room. That is the part we sell. The pizza is just pizza. If the birthday is for a child or a teenager, start from our birthday overview for every age.

Some numbers from our own bookings, March to September 2026, so you know who this is for. The single most common booking we take is a group of four on a Saturday, afternoon or evening, roughly equally. Half of all our sessions start after 18:00, and 55% of them fall on Thursday, Friday or Saturday. Most guests book on the day itself. So if you are reading this on a Thursday for a birthday on Saturday night, you are normal, but message us today rather than tomorrow.

Three ways to do it

Pick the size first. Everything else follows.

2 to 5 people

One session, the arena is yours

160 AED per player, any time of day, and nobody else is put into your group. Pick one of five worlds, play 25 to 30 minutes, then take the lounge for as long as the coffee lasts. Booking the whole arena for five is 800 AED. This is the format for a couple, a few close friends, or a birthday person who hates being the centre of a big crowd.

See the five worlds

6 to 30 people

Squad package, venue closed to your party

From 2,000 AED for up to ten guests to 6,000 AED for thirty. The doors close behind your group, squads of five rotate through the arena while everyone else watches the live feed, and pizza and drinks come out between rounds. Priced for the group, not per head, so a Squad 20 works out at about 200 AED per guest for three hours.

Packages and prices

Competitive groups

Birthday tournament, with a winner

Urban Assault is our player-versus-player world: two squads on a rooftop battlefield, live scoring on the lounge screens, a bracket if you want one. It suits groups who already talk trash to each other. The birthday person does not have to win, but they usually try very hard.

How the evening runs

A birthday for 20 people, hour by hour.

This is a Squad 20 on a Friday evening, which is the package most adult groups of that size pick. It runs three hours. Twenty people never play at once: the arena takes five, so four squads rotate, and the waiting is not dead time, because the lounge screen shows exactly what the squad inside is seeing and hearing.

1

19:00. Doors close behind you

Your group has the lounge: leather sofas, a barista at the coffee bar, an alcohol-free VR Point Mojito for the birthday person, the PlayStation corner for whoever arrives early. Bring the cake and the decorations; the lounge table is yours.

2

19:15. First squad gears up

A Game Master fits the tactile suits and headsets and explains the world in a few minutes. Nobody needs VR experience, and glasses fit under the headset. The birthday person picks the world and who goes first.

3

19:30 to 21:30. Four rounds, pizza in between

Each squad plays 25 to 30 minutes. While one is inside, the other fifteen are on the sofas watching the feed, which is where most of the shouting happens. Four pizzas and a drink per guest arrive during the rotation, so nobody eats alone at the end.

4

21:40. Scores on the screen

Per-player stats come up on the lounge screens: accuracy, kills, who spent the round hiding. It is the natural moment for the cake, because everyone is already in one place and arguing about the numbers.

5

22:00. Stay, or move on

On Friday and Saturday we are open until 02:00, so the lounge is still yours if the group wants a second world or a rematch. Groups heading on to dinner can be out by 22:30 with the photos already in the group chat.

Packages

Birthday party packages for adults, priced for the group.

Every package includes the private arena, the VR sessions with a Game Master, the lounge, pizzas for the group and one drink per guest. The venue is closed to your party for the whole duration. Outside catering is welcome if pizza is not your thing.

Three things said plainly. There is no prepayment: the booking holds without a card and you pay at the venue by card or cash, or against an invoice if a company is paying. Packages are quoted as a package, so the 10% code that applies to ordinary sessions does not stack on top of these prices. And above 30 guests we arrange the evening on request with neighbouring venues inside the same complex, so nobody has to get back into a car.

Who it suits

Good for some birthdays. Wrong for others.

Mixed groups

Friends who game and friends who never touched a controller end up level. The gear is worn, not held, so the skill is walking and pointing. The 30th birthday where half the guests are colleagues and half are university friends works better here than at a dinner where the two halves never mix.

Family birthdays with teenagers

Everyone from 10 up plays the same worlds, and Diamond Skull works from 8. A parent’s 50th with the kids in the same squad works here in a way it never does at a restaurant. If it is mostly children, our kids and teen birthday page is the better read.

Not a nightclub

Our bar is alcohol-free, the coffee is the serious part, and the loudest thing in the room is the live feed. If the plan is drinks and a DJ, we are the first stop of the night, not the last. Plenty of groups do exactly that and head to the Marina afterwards.

Heels and long dresses

You walk and turn fast inside the arena, so trainers and clothes you can move in. Guests who arrive dressed for dinner watch from the lounge, which is a real seat at the party, not a consolation. Tell everyone in the invite and nobody has to sit out.

Compared honestly

VR arena versus the usual adult birthday ideas in Dubai.

We run a VR arena, so read this with that in mind. Prices for the other formats change often and we do not quote them; the comparison is about what the group actually does for three hours.

FormatWhat the group doesBest forWhere it falls short for a birthday
Dinner or brunchSits, talks, ordersAny size, any dress code, alcohol if wantedThe table splits into small conversations; the birthday person hosts instead of playing
Escape roomSolves puzzles in a locked room, usually 60 minutesGroups of 4 to 8 who like thinking togetherCapped at one small room per team; larger groups split up and never see each other’s game
KaraokeSings in a private roomGroups that already know each other wellHalf the room waits for the microphone; shy guests fade out
Yacht or desert tripTravels, eats, takes photosBig budgets, visiting family, a full dayLong lead time, weather and season dependent, hours in a car
Free-roam VR arena (us)Five at a time inside one shared world, the rest watch live6 to 30 mixed guests, competitive friends, families with teens, summerFive play at once so big groups rotate; alcohol-free; you need trainers

If you are still weighing formats, we wrote a wider guide to indoor activities in Dubai that includes options we do not run, and a piece on how a mall VR park differs from a free-roam arena, since people ask us that a lot.

And if you want the wider field with numbers, our list of adult birthday ideas in Dubai with published prices covers twelve venues, including the ones we lose bookings to.

For a group event written up in full rather than a quote, read how a company of twenty spent a Monday with us. It is a work group, not a birthday, but the rotation, the pizza timing and the leaderboard moment are exactly what a Squad 20 birthday looks like.

We are at Goshi Warehouse City, Unit 101, 26 19D Street, Al Quoz Industrial Area 3, a short drive from Downtown and Business Bay. Parking inside the guarded complex is paid, there is free street parking outside, and if you tell us on WhatsApp beforehand we keep one free spot at the entrance for whoever is carrying the cake. Everything is indoors and air-conditioned, which is why August was our busiest month this year, not our quietest. A gift card works if the date is not fixed yet, and if you want the whole venue for something bigger than a birthday, our private events and venue hire page covers that.

Questions

Adult birthday at VR Point: what people ask before they book.

How much does an adult birthday party cost at VR Point?

For 2 to 5 people it is a standard session at 160 AED per player, or 800 AED for the whole arena. For 10 to 30 guests the Squad packages run from 2,000 AED to 6,000 AED and include the private venue, the VR sessions, pizzas and a drink per guest. A group of 6 to 9 usually books Squad 10. There is no prepayment.

Can 10 or 20 people play at the same time?

No, and we would rather say it here than at the door. The arena takes five players per round. Bigger groups rotate in squads while everyone else watches the live feed from the lounge, which is why the packages are 1.5 to 4 hours long rather than one.

Can we bring a cake and decorations?

Yes. Bring the cake, we keep it aside and bring it out when the scores are on the screen. Balloons and decorations are welcome; arrive a little early and the lounge table is yours to set up. Outside catering is welcome for events too; tell us what is coming so the lounge table is ready.

Is there alcohol?

No. The bar is alcohol-free: specialty coffee from the barista, cold drinks and the VR Point Mojito without the rum. Most adult groups treat us as the first part of the evening and go on to dinner or drinks afterwards.

What should guests wear?

Trainers and clothes you can move in. You walk, turn and crouch inside the arena. Guests in heels or long dresses can still come and watch from the lounge, so put a line in the invite and nobody is caught out.

Does anyone need VR experience, and will people feel sick?

No experience is needed. A Game Master fits the gear and explains the world in a few minutes, and the suit is worn rather than held. Because you physically walk instead of pushing a joystick, most guests feel little or no motion sickness. Glasses fit under the headset.

How late can an adult birthday run?

We are open 10:00 to midnight Sunday to Thursday and 10:00 to 02:00 on Friday and Saturday. A 21:00 or 22:00 start on a Friday is normal for a birthday, and the lounge stays yours for the length of the package.

How far ahead should I book a birthday for 15 or 20 people?

Most of our bookings are made on the day, but those are groups of two to five. For ten guests and more, a week is comfortable, and Friday and Saturday evenings go first. Above thirty guests we involve neighbouring venues, so start that conversation two weeks out.

Can some guests just watch?

Yes. Anyone who does not want to play stays in the lounge with the live feed, the coffee and the PlayStation, and the pizza count is per guest whether they play or not. Younger children are welcome in the lounge while the adults are in the arena.

Can I change the date?

One WhatsApp message. Nothing is prepaid, so moving a birthday to the following weekend costs nothing; we only ask that you tell us as early as you can so the slot goes to someone else.

Tell us the date and how many are coming.

We come back with a slot and a package. No prepayment, cake welcome, doors closed to your group.
