VR Point Dubai from Abu Dhabi: 129 km, about 80 minutes, and how to make the day count

Google Maps quotes 1 hour 19 minutes from Abu Dhabi to Goshi Warehouse City in Al Quoz in usual traffic. That is a real trip, so this page is honest about it: what a private free-roam VR mission gives you that a headset session nearer home does not, which slots make the drive back easy, and how Abu Dhabi families and teams fold the visit into a Dubai day. About one in seven visitors to this site is in Abu Dhabi.

The drive

Abu Dhabi to Al Quoz: the routes Google Maps gives, with dates.

Read on 9 September 2026 for Abu Dhabi city to VR Point in usual traffic. Al Quoz is the first industrial district you reach coming up Sheikh Zayed Road from the Abu Dhabi side, before Downtown, so you do not cross Dubai to get here.

RouteDistanceUsual timeNotes
Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Street, E10, then E11129 km1 h 19 minFastest in usual traffic. Exit E11 for Al Quoz Industrial Area 3.
E11 the whole way140 km1 h 25 minSimplest to follow; one road from the Abu Dhabi border to the Al Quoz exit.
Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Street, E10136 km1 h 34 minSlower; useful only if E11 shows heavy traffic.

Inside Al Quoz Industrial Area 3, follow 19D Street into Goshi Warehouse City and look for the lit VR POINT sign at Unit 101. Paid parking is inside the guarded complex, free street parking is outside it, and one free spot at our entrance can be reserved on WhatsApp before you set off. For a group arriving in two or three cars, tell us and we will point you to the nearest spaces.

Making the day count

Three ways Abu Dhabi guests build the trip around VR Point.

Saturday in Dubai, VR in the afternoon

Downtown and Dubai Mall are 13 km from us, 15 minutes by car. Alserkal Avenue’s galleries and cafés are 3.4 km away. A 16:00 or 17:00 slot fits between a late lunch and dinner, and the arena is quieter in the afternoon than after 20:00.

Two missions back to back

Nobody drives 129 km for 30 minutes of play. A second mission straight after the first is 15% cheaper per player and takes you into a different world: five to choose from, co-op zombie missions, a Tesla puzzle adventure, a rooftop player-versus-player battle and a treasure hunt for players from age 8.

The team comes up together

For an Abu Dhabi company a Squad package makes it a Dubai day: the venue closes to your group for 1.5 to 4 hours, everyone plays in rotation, pizzas and drinks are included, and the leaderboard settles the office argument. Packages run from 2,000 AED for 10 to 6,000 AED for 30 guests, above that on request. Details on the team building page.

Friday night, late slot

On Fridays and Saturdays we are open until 02:00. A 21:00 slot after dinner in Dubai still puts you on the E11 before midnight. Sunday to Thursday the last mission starts at 23:00.

Worth the drive

What is different from a VR session nearer home.

1

Private arena, every booking

2 to 5 players in a 100 m² arena with nobody else inside, at any hour, with no private-hire surcharge. Whole-arena booking for 5 is 800 AED, the same as five players.

2

Full body, plus wind, heat and scents

You play on foot with full-body tracking, a tactile suit and a weapon with recoil, and the arena adds wind, heat and scents in sync with the game. We are the only venue in the UAE that combines full-body motion tracking with 4D effects.

3

A Game Master and a lounge

One person fits the gear, briefs the world and stays with your group; most of our guests are first-timers. The lounge has leather sofas, barista coffee, a live screen of the game for those who watch, and a PlayStation corner. Spectators are free. Rated 4.9 by 400+ guests on Google.

Plan about an hour at VR Point for one session and two hours for two. Full prices, discounts and what is included are on the prices page; every VR arena in Dubai, with formats and published prices, is on the comparison page.

Questions

What guests from Abu Dhabi ask before they book.

How long is the drive from Abu Dhabi to VR Point?

129 km and 1 hour 19 minutes in usual traffic via E10 and E11, according to Google Maps on 9 September 2026. Al Quoz is before Downtown coming from Abu Dhabi, so you leave the E11 early.

Can we hold a slot without paying, in case the traffic is bad?

Yes. No booking is prepaid. Message us on WhatsApp from the road if you are running late and we move you to the next free slot where the schedule allows.

Is one session enough for the drive?

We suggest two missions back to back. The second is 15% cheaper per player and you play a different world. Two sessions with the lounge in between take about two hours.

Is it worth coming when Abu Dhabi has VR venues?

For a quick headset session, no; stay local. For a private free-roam arena where your group walks, crouches and shoots on foot with full-body tracking and 4D effects, yes: we do not know of another venue in the UAE that combines them. Compare the formats on the comparison page before you decide.

Can our company book the whole venue for a day trip?

Yes. Squad packages close the venue to your group for 1.5 to 4 hours with catering included, from 2,000 AED for 10 guests to 6,000 AED for 30. Above 30 we arrange extra space with neighbouring venues inside Goshi Warehouse City and quote by hand.

Where do we park?

Paid parking inside the guarded Goshi Warehouse City complex, free street parking outside it, and one free spot at our entrance that you can reserve in advance on WhatsApp.

Book the slot, reserve the parking spot, make it a Dubai day.
